Growing up!

She is never happy about being asked to take her picture, this was the best I could get out of her today.  I was watching her in the backyard and she just looked so grown up to me, I had to capture the moment. **sigh** how time flies!

Midas Update

Such a cutie, and doing great! He is a handful, but he has been a lot of fun and I like having him around despite the extra work.  He is just about all healed and completed with his meds so he should be finding an adoptive family soon! I know a few four legged kids around here that will miss him though.

Midland Michigan

We spent the weekend in Midland Michigan visiting with some friends and enjoying the local festivies which included the Annual Downtown Classic Car show and the Remax Ballon Festival. The town of Midland is amazing and beautiful in many ways.  I was very impressed and found myself wishing we could live there! the perfect mix of country, city and charm!

Foster Parents!! Finally!

Yep, you read that title correctly.  Jason and I are officially foster parents.  Our newest bundle of joy arrived this afternoon, and it was a sad sight to say the least! With that being said, I would like to introduce Midas.  4 months old.  We think he ...

1st camping trip of the year!

Finally...mid August we completed the necessary repairs on our magnificent home away from home and we ventured out to Silver Lake Michigan.  A city along the Western coast that is known for it's sand dunes.  To say the least, it was a trip we will never forget! :(   I know it seems strange to wait until mid August to take our first trip but this lovely pop up, was a steal in price BUT that meant it needed a few repairs.  We only paid $500 for it, and the guy we bought it from had done a lot of work to the inside.  Painting, brand new mattresses and cushions (still in the packing with the $1200 receipt), and it looks like some trim was replaced.  Inside was on point.  The trouble was the cable system.  It was snapped so you couldn't crank it up.  Jason figured it wouldn't be a big deal so we went for it.  Well that project that wasn't a big deal took about 2 months of research and 4 WHOLE days to get the job done!  In the end th...
