I'm BACK! Sorry but no Internet connection for a few weeks :( but I have a few things to post and of course a few pictures.

We had a trip up North with my cousin and his family. It was beautiful, relaxing and a great time. We took a River Boat ride, had the perfect bonfire and the kids had a ton of fun.

Olena is doing great. We couldn't be happier with the way things are going. We struggle a bit with behavior and attitude issues but we are trying different parenting techniques - trial and error, and trying find what works best. We have been pretty successful and you can see that she is now trying too and putting in a bit more effort to behave and do what we ask the first time and doing it happily. It makes for a great home life and all of us are really enjoying each other right now. She is getting much more confident on the bike. She finally has the brakes figured out and doesn't have much trouble at all if any. She has had a few spills but handles herself great, gets up and gets back on. It will be a while before we will be able to take the training wheels off but oh well...she is having fun and that's what matters.
She had a great Halloween and she was very excited about being a Witch - and not just any witch, a BAD WITCH! My mom makes her amazing costumes and when we all went to look at patterns she was devastated because all we could fine where Good Witches. But finally, in one of the last books, there is was - the Wicked Witch of the West from Wizard Of Oz. We changed up the fabric a bit and made her a bit cuter - but she looked great! and she loved being a Witch for the night!

Notice anything different?

A little accessory for her Aunt Rickie's wedding.  She kept telling us she wanted long hair like us for the wedding but we just never grew it out.  So voila! instant long hair! I do plan to make it look a lot nicer for the wedding.  Literally she walked in from playing in the sprinkler and I shoved it on her head.  Once her real hair is curled it will blend and look more uniform. I am proud at how well I matched the color, I was worried because I ordered it off line.

Being brave the best way she knows how.

Olena has a big issue with getting her nails clipped. This has been a problem since bringing her home and though it has improved a bit in four years, it is still a 45 minute fight just to trim her fingers and toes. She has never been hurt - she just has a problem with it due to her sensory disorder - she is extremely over sensitive when it comes to her feet or hands. I am cutting her nails the other day.... O: do you have to cut the baby one too? M: Yes! O:NNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOO, not the baby one OK? M: I have to, it's really long O: NNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOO, its my dragon claw. M: I still have to cut it O: NNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOO, just leave it ok! Leave them all. I can do it. M: how? you don't know how to use the clippers. O: like this! (as she attempts to put her toes in her mouth and act like she biting the nails off) M: that's just wrong....not to mention disgusting. I need to cut them. Please give me your foot. O: (as nervous as be) just wait a minute.....**big sigh**....(gr
