My littlest equestrian! This is her last week sporting her new riding gear that she got for her birthday. She got the fleece lined and padded riding pants, the fleece riding coat, the helmet and face warmer, as well as a pair of leather riding gloves. She thinks she is so cool now!

The horse she has been riding is named Kidd (see him here)  I tried to put his picture on the blog but it is secured.  Unfortunately the light has been awful since they have been riding in the indoor arena but once they get outside I will get some better pictures of her on the horse instead of the just modeling the clothes! :)

Here is a little bio about Kidd...

Registered Name: M&M Kidd
Donated By: Ann Crawford
Arrived At Banbury: June, 2008
Birthdate: April 20, 1991
Nickname: Kid-A-Roo
Color: Bay Roan Breed: Appaloosa Height: 15.3 Hands
Kidd has become an instant favorite. His demeanor is similar to that of a gentle giant. While he stands pretty tall, he is tolerant of any rider on his back. He enjoys every minute of his time spent in the ring. Kidd also sports a short tail, which makes it hard for him to fight off flies, so you will see him sporting many interesting tools in the summer months, including tail extensions! Before Banbury, rode english and western, and competed in 4-H shows with his owner.

Notice anything different?

A little accessory for her Aunt Rickie's wedding.  She kept telling us she wanted long hair like us for the wedding but we just never grew it out.  So voila! instant long hair! I do plan to make it look a lot nicer for the wedding.  Literally she walked in from playing in the sprinkler and I shoved it on her head.  Once her real hair is curled it will blend and look more uniform. I am proud at how well I matched the color, I was worried because I ordered it off line.

Being brave the best way she knows how.

Olena has a big issue with getting her nails clipped. This has been a problem since bringing her home and though it has improved a bit in four years, it is still a 45 minute fight just to trim her fingers and toes. She has never been hurt - she just has a problem with it due to her sensory disorder - she is extremely over sensitive when it comes to her feet or hands. I am cutting her nails the other day.... O: do you have to cut the baby one too? M: Yes! O:NNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOO, not the baby one OK? M: I have to, it's really long O: NNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOO, its my dragon claw. M: I still have to cut it O: NNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOO, just leave it ok! Leave them all. I can do it. M: how? you don't know how to use the clippers. O: like this! (as she attempts to put her toes in her mouth and act like she biting the nails off) M: that's just wrong....not to mention disgusting. I need to cut them. Please give me your foot. O: (as nervous as be) just wait a minute.....**big sigh**....(gr
