Maid of the Mist ; Horseshoe Falls

This was every one's favorite. I personal don't think that anything else we did on this trip really gives you a true understanding of the power of these Falls like this boat trip did. You are so close and the sound is astounding. The rainbows were everywhere and they are so brilliant and right in front of your face. Almost surreal. Once you are emerged into the furthest part of the Horseshoe Falls all you can see is sky and water fall. It was amazing!!

Less than 10% of the water flows over the American Falls, with the balance flowing over the Horseshoe Falls. It is the massive volume of water that flows over the Horseshoe Falls that gives it its green color

Notice anything different?

A little accessory for her Aunt Rickie's wedding. She kept telling us she wanted long hair like us for the wedding but we just never grew it out. So voila! instant long hair! I do plan to make it look a lot nicer for the wedding. Literally she walked in from playing in the sprinkler and I shoved it on her head. Once her real hair is curled it will blend and look more uniform. I am proud at how well I matched the color, I was worried because I ordered it off line.

Soon to be teenager!

We just celebrated our 11th Gotcha Day, this kid amazes me everyday. She is doing fabulous in the 6th grade. She currently has all As and 1 B. She loves school and still loves to learn. She struggles a bit with making friends, but she handles herself well, meshes great with the staff and the teachers and doesn't take any crap or bullying from anyone. LOL! She has had her fair share of issues, and has had to write out 50 Ways to be Respectful a handful of times and has been in the "warrior room" to work out conflicts more than once but she is loving, kinds, silly, strong and very self confident.
