Niagara Information

I had a few inquires about where we stayed while in Niagara, and I thought I would make a post because we truly had a great experience. We stayed at a campground about 7 miles from the Niagara "parkway". It was called Niagara RV. I recommend them 100% PERFECT park. We stayed in a fully furnished 32ft RV camper. It had a built on deck, rocking chairs on the porch, and it was stocked with everything except food, toiletries and linens. Very clean! built in stereo system, A/C - the works! anyhow there are 2 campers, Rickie and Dan stayed in the other one. There's had 2 bedrooms, one with a queen bed and one with 2 sets of bunks. Ours had 1 bedroom with a queen bed and a pull out couch. Of course the tables turn into beds too. The 2 bedroom was a bit spacer in the "living area" but they were both fabulous. We stayed 3 nights for $200 CA. What a bargain. The camp ground was very clean, extremely friendly - lots of "permanent" campers there. It was family owned and ran - and they are some of the greatest people I ever met...please just go and take your families. You'll love. OH they also have a huge pool with "beach" style entry and there are fountains - dumping buckets - spraying thingies that the kids like. unfortunately it was too early in the season when we went and it was not open yet :( not the greatest park for the kids but lots of different stuff but it is all pretty old. Our kids didn't mind and still had fun.

Kids 5 and under are free for everything and we bought a pass for us that was $40CA it got us into 7 different attractions and we got half off of the others that were not included in the pass. We got the additional tickets for the butterfly house. We also got 2 days passes for the people mover. We parked at the furthest attraction and rode the bus down the parkway. It stops at every location, and they round every 15 minutes! Believe me this was plenty to do. We spent two days in the park and we still didn't get to everything. Also all passes are good until October!

If anyone else has any other questions...just let me know.
Word of warning for those of you who are considering the trip...we heard that August is very BUSY.

Looks like a lot of fun! I would LOVE more info on the RV Park. Maybe that can be a destination next year for us (we are doing Orlando with the Ukie Angels this year)

Notice anything different?

A little accessory for her Aunt Rickie's wedding.  She kept telling us she wanted long hair like us for the wedding but we just never grew it out.  So voila! instant long hair! I do plan to make it look a lot nicer for the wedding.  Literally she walked in from playing in the sprinkler and I shoved it on her head.  Once her real hair is curled it will blend and look more uniform. I am proud at how well I matched the color, I was worried because I ordered it off line.

Being brave the best way she knows how.

Olena has a big issue with getting her nails clipped. This has been a problem since bringing her home and though it has improved a bit in four years, it is still a 45 minute fight just to trim her fingers and toes. She has never been hurt - she just has a problem with it due to her sensory disorder - she is extremely over sensitive when it comes to her feet or hands. I am cutting her nails the other day.... O: do you have to cut the baby one too? M: Yes! O:NNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOO, not the baby one OK? M: I have to, it's really long O: NNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOO, its my dragon claw. M: I still have to cut it O: NNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOO, just leave it ok! Leave them all. I can do it. M: how? you don't know how to use the clippers. O: like this! (as she attempts to put her toes in her mouth and act like she biting the nails off) M: that's just wrong....not to mention disgusting. I need to cut them. Please give me your foot. O: (as nervous as be) just wait a minute.....**big sigh**....(gr
