We are happy to announce that Aunt Jen (and U. Dave) welcomed thier baby girl into the family this weekend (3 weeks before anticipated) but baby Elizabeth Ann is healthy at a good 7lbs. She decided to make her entry on Sunday - the day of the babyshower. No they did not get to attend :( It was very different not having the mommy-to-be there with us, but the family did a great job pulling it together. Congrats to them all! and I can't wait until the girls can play together.
Happy Easter to everyone! Hopefully everyone enjoyed a beautiful day with family and friends. We finally some good weather so we couldn't have asked for a better day. The morning started with a basket from the Easter Bunny with some books, bubbles and puzzles as well as a 1 year pass to the Detroit Zoo! What a great gift!! Jason hadn't been there since he was a young boy, and I have never been lucky enough to go during the spring so we decided to put that pass to work and headed over for a day of lots of walking and some pretty cool animals. Olena was beside herself with excitement. We got to take the new wagon that Grampie bought her for xmas and we packed a picnic lunch. Since the weather was so perfect lots of the animals were out and active which is a far change from the usual scene we get during the dead of summer :( You'll see pics of our favorite part below...the Artic Circle where you get to watch the Polar Bears swim around the tube you are standing in. Daddy and Olena being Praire Dogs! HELLO Mr. Peacock....this is my little Bindi Erwin. Strange - she is scared to death of a loud car that drives by the house, but she was ready to meet every single animal face to face. The butterfly house drove her crazy, she kept seeing butterflies and shadows everywhere. Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum~!

Happy April!

Welcome back! sorry for the lengthy absence. I wish I could blame it on something wonderful such as being away backpacking through Europe...but the real truth is that I had been preoccupied with Vampires and Warewolves (aka Shape shifters) - YES; the TWILIGHT series sucked me in. I have spent the last 2 weeks filling every free moment with reading those 4 books! and as silly as it may be OMG that was the best story I have read in a very long time. I loved Anne Rice as a teenager and read many of her books but I haven't picked up a Vampire book, or even any fictional book for that matter, since college. It was nice to use the good ole' imagination again and feel like a kid excited about what was going to happen next. I finished last night and now I am sitting here alone wondering what the heck I should be doing?? Jason is gone for the evening, Olena is in bed and I have piece and quite! AAAHHHH. Olena is doing really well. She starting swim class with the Red Cross 2 weeks ago,
