I recieved a gift today...an email with pictures.

I feel overjoyed touched a bit of sadness. but most of all THANKFUL! thankful for this precious baby and the woman who holds her. thankful for being the woman who now holds her close. thankful for being her mother! Olena Sergeivena K. age 5/6 months. born to Olga and Sergei I chose to crop the pictures but one of the best parts was the fact that in these pictures Olena is happy, Olga is happy, and she looks well taken care of. The picture in my mind - was painted much differently. The stories I were told were far off from what these pictures show me. I am not naive, I know that there was much more to the first year of little girls life then a handful of gleeful pictures. BUT I am so blessed to have such a beautiful picture enter my mind now when I think of Olena as a baby!

Summer is in full swing...

June has come in like a lion and has stayed that way! I haven't blogged much because truthfully my days have consisted of basically nothing but projects, chores and every day life. Jason fractured his ankle about 4 weeks ago while at work, so he has been on medical leave. With him being unable to walk I was responsible for taking over his chores too....oh my was I busy busy busy! Thankfully, he is able to walk on it now for short blocks of time and at least help out with a few of things I get too busy for. But it is nice having him back in the mix! I have decided to still continue with school over the summer I have changed things up a bit so continuing through these next 3 months shouldn't be a problem. I have veered away from trying to make our days too much like "school" It didn't work for us and I realized that I was trying to do everything that I "disliked" about the idea of a classroom.
