I received this today from one of my good Christian friends. He and his wife Home school their daughter and when he heard we were going to be homeschooling Olena he sent this to me. We have actually been pretty busy. We (or should I say Jason) is in the process of making some well needed changes to the kitchen. The walls and cupboards have been sanded down and are being painted, and the floor has been torn up and is being replaced! I cannot wait until it is finished. One, because it is going to look great and two, I am GOING INSANE living in construction. I have no cupboard doors and all my daily planning stuff is spread through out the house. My couch and my spare bedroom are filled with kitchen furniture and all of the kitchen contents. I cannot find anything, it seems pointless to clean, and I though I am extremly grateful for my wonderful husbands work...he really needs to get it finished, and fast! Not to mention that our kitchen is not only the biggest room in this house but it is honestly the heart of this house too. I'm going crazy. I am happy to announce that today at 2:45pm (Ukrainian time) Gene and his wife Helen welcomed their new baby girl into the world. Both mommy and baby are healthy and in Gene's exact words...." I am just the most happier father all over the world!!!!!!!! I love you all!!!" Jason and I are very happy for him and his new family. Gene is very passionate about children and has been longing for one for many years. He is on top of the world right now and I only wish we could be there to share the joy with him, just like he was with us. Anyone want to argue that there siblings? I have had this picture for a few months now, we have it tacked up on our cork board in the kitchen. The other day I had Olena's ballerina pictures sitting on the counter. The close up shot you see below was sitting there right under this picture of him and when it caught my eye it took my breath away a little bit. It amazes me every time I see his sweet face, and it makes me so happy we have found him. Yet on the other hand I am so sad that they are not together.
